FBP2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein fructose-bisphosphatase 2, which is encoded by the FBP2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to catalyze the hydrolysis of fructose 1,6-bisphosphate to fructose 6-phosphate in the presence of divalent cations and probably participates in glycogen synthesis from carbohydrate precursors, such as lactate. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 339 residues, a mass of 36.7 kDa, and is a member of the FBPase class 1 protein family. It is known to be localized in the nucleus, cell junctions, and cytoplasm and is reported to be expressed in skeletal muscle. The FBP2 gene has been associated with the disease, Leukodystrophy. Other alias names for this target include fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase isozyme 2, D-fructose-1,6-bisphosphate 1-phosphohydrolase 2, FBPase 2, fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase 2, hexosediphosphatase, and CORLK.
There are FBP2 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 31.2 pg/mL and as high as 20 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
