PLA2G2D ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein phospholipase A2 group IID, which is encoded by the PLA2G2D gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in inflammatory response pathways and the metabolism of lipids. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 145 residues, a mass of 16.5 kDa, and is a member of the Phospholipase A2 protein family. It is known to be secreted and is reported to be highly expressed in pancreas and spleen and less abundantly in colon, thymus, placenta, small intestine, and prostate. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include SPLASH, sPLA2-IID, sPLA2S, group IID secretory phospholipase A2, GIID sPLA2, and PLA2IID.
Some PLA2G2D ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 12.5 pg/mL and as high as 60 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
