GMPS ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein guanine monophosphate synthase, which is encoded by the GMPS gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to catalyze the conversion of xanthine monophosphate (XMP) to GMP in the presence of glutamine and ATP through an adenyl-XMP intermediate. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 693 residues and a mass of 76.7 kDa. It is known to be localized in the cytoplasm. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported.
