Functionally, this protein is known to bind to OSBPL3, which mediates recruitment of VAPA to plasma membrane sites. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 249 residues, a mass of 27.9 kDa, and is a member of the VAMP-associated protein (VAP) (TC 9.B.17) protein family. It is known to be localized in the nucleus, ER, and cell membrane and is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. Other alias names for this target include VAP-33, VAP33, hVAP-33, vesicle-associated membrane protein-associated protein A, and VAMP-A.
