Functionally, this protein is a known component of the NuA4 histone acetyltransferase (HAT) complex, a multiprotein complex involved in transcriptional activation of select genes principally by acetylation of nucleosomal histones H4 and H2A. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 836 residues, a mass of 93.5 kDa, and is a member of the Enhancer of polycomb protein family. It is known to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm. As many as 3 protein isoforms have been reported.
