SPTLC3 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein serine palmitoyltransferase long chain base subunit 3, which is encoded by the SPTLC3 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in the metabolism of lipids. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 552 residues, a mass of 62 kDa, and is a member of the Class-II pyridoxal-phosphate-dependent aminotransferase protein family. It is known to be localized in the ER and is reported to be expressed in most tissues, except peripheral blood cells and bone marrow, with highest levels in heart, kidney, liver, uterus and skin. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. Other alias names for this target include LCB 3, LCB2B, LCB3, SPT 3, SPT3, SPTLC2L, dJ718P11, and C20orf38.
Some SPTLC3 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 0.15 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
