HMCES ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein 5-hydroxymethylcytosine binding, ES cell specific, which is encoded by the HMCES gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in DNA damage pathways and proteolysis. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 354 residues, a mass of 40.6 kDa, and is a member of the SOS response-associated peptidase protein family. It is known to be localized in the chromosomes. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally ubiquitinated. Other alias names for this target include 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (hmC) binding, ES cell-specific, ES cell-specific 5hmC-binding protein, SOS response associated peptidase domain containing 1, and abasic site processing protein HMCES.
Some HMCES ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 50 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
