2-phosphoxylose phosphatase 1 ELISA Kits

This protein is known to be important for the 2-O-dephosphorylation of xylose in the glycosaminoglycan-protein linkage region of proteoglycans thereby regulating the amount of mature glycosaminoglycan (GAG) chains. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 480 residues, a mass of 55.2 kDa, and is a member of the Histidine acid phosphatase protein family. Its subcellular location is known to be in the golgi. In addition, it is widely expressed across many tissue types. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. In certain instances, it is also post-translationally glycosylated. This protein may also be known as acid phosphatase-like protein 2, epididymis luminal protein 124, xylosyl phosphatase, and acid phosphatase-like 2.

    I work on using stem cells to model and treat rare pediatric diseases, including a HIKESHI associated disease. The product was used to blot for HIKESHI protein in patient-acquired samples. It works well and doesnt tag the mutant protein, but it does require a high concentration. This might be due to low protein abundance however.
