ASAH2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein N-acylsphingosine amidohydrolase 2, which is encoded by the ASAH2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in the apoptotic pathway and cytokine-mediated signaling pathways. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 780 residues, a mass of 85.5 kDa, and is a member of the Neutral ceramidase protein family. It is known to be localized in the mitochondria, golgi, cell membrane, and is secreted and is notably expressed in intestine. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally O-glycosylated, N-glycosylated, ubiquitinated, cleaved and phosphorylated. Other alias names for this target include N-acylsphingosine amidohydrolase (non-lysosomal ceramidase) 2, acylsphingosine deacylase 2, mitochondrial ceramidase, neutral/alkaline ceramidase, non-lysosomal ceramidase, and neutral ceramidase.
Some ASAH2 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 15.6 pg/mL and as high as 100 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
