MPLKIP ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein M-phase specific PLK1 interacting protein, which is encoded by the MPLKIP gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is believed to play a role in maintenance of cell cycle integrity by regulating mitosis or cytokinesis. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 179 residues and a mass of 19.1 kDa. It is known to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm and is reported be expressed at highest levels in liver and kidney; intermediate expression in skeletal muscle, pancreas, heart and placenta; low expression in the brain and lung. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally phosphorylated. The MPLKIP gene has been associated with the disease, Trichothiodystrophy. Other alias names for this target include Russell-Silver syndrome region and TTD non-photosensitive 1 protein.
There are Mplkip ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
