Anti-GIG8 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The GIG8 antigen is another term for the human protein inhibitor of DNA binding 2, encoded by the ID2 gene. The protein is known to function in the differentiation of certain cell types, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 134 residues and a mass of 14.9 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm and it is reported to be highly expressed in early fetal tissues, including those of the central nervous system. Other alias names for GIG8 include ID2A. Western Blot is a widely used application for the GIG8 antibodies listed below. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
