Anti-ARHGAP12 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein Rho GTPase activating protein 12. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 846 amino acid residues and a mass of 96.3 kDa. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. ARHGAP12 is known to be a GTPase activator for the Rho-type GTPases by converting them to an inactive GDP-bound state. Synonyms for this target antigen include rho-type GTPase-activating protein 12. ARHGAP12 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some ARHGAP12 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
