Anti-TSPY8 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein testis specific protein Y-linked 8. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 308 amino acid residues and a mass of 35.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. It is notably expressed in the testis. A member of the Nucleosome assembly protein (NAP) protein family, TSPY8 is suspected to be involved in sperm differentiation and proliferation. Synonyms for this target antigen include testis-specific Y-encoded protein 8.
