Anti-ADM5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein adrenomedullin 5 (putative). In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 153 amino acid residues and a mass of 16.5 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. A member of the Adrenomedullin protein family, ADM5 is a suspected non-functional remnant of adrenomedullin-5. Synonyms for this target antigen include putative adrenomedullin-5-like protein and adrenomedullin 5 homolog (pig). ADM5 gene orthologs have been reported in the bovine species.
