Anti-SLC22A7 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein solute carrier family 22 member 7. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 548 amino acid residues and a mass of 60 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in the liver and kidney. A member of the Organic cation transporter (TC 2.A.1.19) protein family, SLC22A7 is known to mediate sodium-independent multispecific organic anion transport. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. The SLC22A7 marker can be used to identify Proximal Tubule Segment 3 Epithelial Cells.* Synonyms for this target antigen include OAT2, hOAT11, hOAT2, liver-specific transporter, novel liver transporter, and NLT. SLC22A7 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species.
