Anti-PABP2 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The PABP2 antigen is another term for the human protein poly(A) binding protein nuclear 1, encoded by the PABPN1 gene. The protein is reported to be involved in 3'-end formation of mRNA precursors (pre-mRNA) by the addition of a poly(A) tail of 200-250 nt to the upstream cleavage product (By similarity). Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 306 residues and a mass of 32.7 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm and it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. Indicated applications for PABP2 antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
