Anti-NAB1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein NGFI-A binding protein 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 487 amino acid residues and a mass of 54.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the NAB protein family, NAB1 is known to act as a transcriptional repressor for zinc finger transcription factors EGR1 and EGR2. Synonyms for this target antigen include EGR1 binding protein 1, transcriptional regulatory protein p54, and EGR-1-binding protein 1. NAB1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some NAB1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
