Anti-SLC7A8 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein solute carrier family 7 member 8. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 535 amino acid residues and a mass of 58.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and cytoplasm. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the duodenum and kidney. It is a member of the L-type amino acid transporter (LAT) (TC 2.A.3.8) protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include LPI-PC1, large neutral amino acids transporter small subunit 2, L-type amino acid transporter 2, and LAT2. SLC7A8 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. A number of SLC7A8 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Flow Cytometry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
