Anti-Glia-derived nexin antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Glia-derived nexin antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SERPINE2 gene, which encodes serpin family E member 2. This protein is known to function in cell differentiation and the regulation of cell growth, among other biological roles. The human version of Glia-derived nexin has a canonical amino acid length of 398 residues and a protein mass of 44 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be a secreted protein. Other names for this target antigen include GDN, GDNPF, and PI-7.
