Anti-STP antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target STP is a known alias name of the protein thyroid hormone receptor interactor 10, encoded by the TRIP10 gene in humans. This 601-amino acid residue protein is known to be required for translocation of GLUT4 to the plasma membrane in response to insulin signaling (By similarity). It is localized to the cell membrane, Golgi, lysosomes and cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types.
