Anti-XAP-2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the XAP-2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the AIP gene, which encodes aryl hydrocarbon receptor interacting protein. This protein is known to function in metabolic processes, among other biological roles. The human version of XAP-2 has a canonical amino acid length of 330 residues and a protein mass of 37.7 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types.
