Anti-wts antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target wts is a known alias name of the protein large tumor suppressor kinase 1, encoded by the LATS1 gene in humans. This 1130-amino acid residue protein is a reported regulator of YAP1 in the Hippo signaling pathway that plays a pivotal role in organ size control and tumor suppression by restricting proliferation and promoting apoptosis. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in all adult tissues examined except for lung and kidney.
