Anti-PTPG1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PTPG1 is a known alias name of the protein protein tyrosine phosphatase non-receptor type 12, encoded by the PTPN12 gene in humans. This 780-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in protein dephosphorylation, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for PTPG1 include PTP-PEST and PTP-PEST.
