Anti-TMCC4 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the TMCC4 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TMCO1 gene, which encodes transmembrane and coiled-coil domains 1. This protein is known to be a calcium-selective channel required to prevent calcium stores from overfilling, thereby playing a key role in calcium homeostasis. The human version of TMCC4 has a canonical amino acid length of 239 residues and a protein mass of 27.1 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the ER and Golgi of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the cervix and duodenum. Other names for this target antigen include CFSMR1, HP10122, and PCIA3.
