Anti-STYI antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the STYI antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ST6GALNAC1 gene, which encodes ST6 N-acetylgalactosaminide alpha-2,6-sialyltransferase 1. This protein is known to function in protein glycosylation, among other biological roles. The human version of STYI has a canonical amino acid length of 600 residues and a protein mass of 68.6 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the Golgi of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix and bronchus. STYI is a member of the Glycosyltransferase 29 protein family.
