Anti-SLP-1 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The SLP-1 antigen is another term for the human protein stomatin like 1, encoded by the STOML1 gene. The protein is believed to play a role in cholesterol transfer to late endosomes. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 398 residues and a mass of 43 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasmic vesicles and cell membrane and it is found to be widely expressed at low levels. The SLP-1 protein is a member of the Band 7/mec-2 protein family.
