Anti-TAPP2C antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the TAPP2C antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PPTC7 gene, which encodes protein phosphatase targeting COQ7. This protein is known to function in protein dephosphorylation, among other biological roles. The human version of TAPP2C has a canonical amino acid length of 304 residues and a protein mass of 32.6 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the mitochondria of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. TAPP2C is a member of the PP2C protein family.
