Anti-PNPLA9 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PNPLA9 is a known alias name of the protein phospholipase A2 group VI, encoded by the PLA2G6 gene in humans. This 806-amino acid residue protein is known to be a calcium-independent phospholipase involved in phospholipid remodeling with implications in cellular membrane homeostasis, mitochondrial integrity and signal transduction. It is localized to the cell membrane, mitochondria, and cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for PNPLA9 include CaI-PLA2, GVI, and INAD1. Indicated applications for PNPLA9 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
