Anti-LYC4 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the LYC4 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the LYZL4 gene, which encodes lysozyme like 4. This protein is suspected to be involved in fertilization (By similarity). The human version of LYC4 has a canonical amino acid length of 146 residues and a protein mass of 16.4 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasmic vesicles and is secreted of cells and notably expressed in the testis. LYC4 is a member of the Glycosyl hydrolase 22 protein family.
