Anti-PPP1R21 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein protein phosphatase 1 regulatory subunit 21. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 780 amino acid residues and a mass of 88.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the endosome. Up to 5 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. PPP1R21 is a reported putative regulator of protein phosphatase 1 (PP1) activity. The PPP1R21 gene has been associated with the disease, Neurodevelopmental disorder with hypotonia, facial dysmorphism, and brain abnormalities. Synonyms for this target antigen include KLRAQ motif-containing protein 1, coiled-coil domain containing 128, coiled-coil domain-containing protein 128, and KLRAQ motif containing 1. PPP1R21 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the PPP1R21 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
