Anti-NC2-alpha antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the NC2-alpha antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the DRAP1 gene, which encodes DR1 associated protein 1. This protein is known to function in transcription by RNA polymerase II, among other biological roles. The human version of NC2-alpha has a canonical amino acid length of 205 residues and a protein mass of 22.4 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells. NC2-alpha is a member of the NC2 alpha/DRAP1 protein family.
