Anti-PI3Kgamma antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PI3Kgamma is a known alias name of the protein phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase catalytic subunit gamma, encoded by the PIK3CG gene in humans. This 1102-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a phosphoinositide-3-kinase (pi3k) that phosphorylates PtdIns(4,5)P2 (Phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate) to generate phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate (PIP3). It is localized to the cell membrane and cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for PI3Kgamma include IMD97, PI3CG, and PI3K. Western Blot is the most common application for the PI3Kgamma antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
