Anti-POL4P antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target POL4P is a known alias name of the protein DNA polymerase nu, encoded by the POLN gene in humans. This 900-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in DNA replication and DNA repair, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in the testis and heart.
