Anti-PGE2-R antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PGE2-R antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PTGER3 gene, which encodes prostaglandin E receptor 3. This protein is known to function in GPCR signaling pathways and inflammatory response pathways, among other biological roles. The human version of PGE2-R has a canonical amino acid length of 390 residues and a protein mass of 43.3 kilodaltons, although 12 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells. Other names for this target antigen include EP3, EP3-I, and EP3-II. ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunofluorescence are common applications for PGE2-R antibodies.
