Anti-NACED antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the NACED antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the NAT8L gene, which encodes N-acetyltransferase 8 like. This protein is known to function in metabolic processes, among other biological roles. The human version of NACED has a canonical amino acid length of 302 residues and a protein mass of 32.8 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the mitochondria, ER, and cytoplasm of cells. NACED is a member of the Camello protein family.
