Anti-MGN2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target MGN2 is a known alias name of the protein mago homolog B, exon junction complex subunit, encoded by the MAGOHB gene in humans. This 148-amino acid residue protein is said to be required for pre-mRNA splicing as component of the spliceosome. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. Other synonyms for MGN2 include mago and magoh.
