Anti-NSG3 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the NSG3 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CALY gene, which encodes calcyon neuron specific vesicular protein. The human version of NSG3 has a canonical amino acid length of 217 residues and a protein mass of 23.4 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasmic vesicles and cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in the hypothalamus, cerebral cortex, cerebellum, and caudate.
