Anti-GNTI.2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the GNTI.2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the POMGNT1 gene, which encodes protein O-linked mannose N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase 1 (beta 1,2-). This protein is reported to participate in O-mannosyl glycosylation by catalyzing the addition of N-acetylglucosamine to O-linked mannose on glycoproteins. The human version of GNTI.2 has a canonical amino acid length of 660 residues and a protein mass of 75.3 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the Golgi of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix, urinary bladder, and adrenal gland.
