Anti-LACH2 antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene ACOT1, or 'acyl-CoA thioesterase 1' in humans. The 421-amino acid protein is a member of the C/M/P thioester hydrolase family. The cellular localization is predicted to be cytoplasmic.
