Anti-H-IDHG antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the H-IDHG antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the IDH3G gene, which encodes isocitrate dehydrogenase (NAD(+)) 3 non-catalytic subunit gamma. This protein is known to function in carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis, among other biological roles. The human version of H-IDHG has a canonical amino acid length of 393 residues and a protein mass of 42.8 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the mitochondria of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include isocitrate dehydrogenase [NAD] subunit gamma, mitochondrial and IDH-gamma.
