Anti-GG2-1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the GG2-1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TNFAIP8 gene, which encodes TNF alpha induced protein 8. This protein is known to function in the regulation of apoptosis, among other biological roles. The human version of GG2-1 has a canonical amino acid length of 198 residues and a protein mass of 23 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells. Other names for this target antigen include MDC-3.13 and NDED.
