Anti-LMX1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target LMX1 is a known alias name of the protein LIM homeobox transcription factor 1 alpha, encoded by the LMX1A gene in humans. This 382-amino acid residue protein is known to act as a transcriptional activator by binding to an A/T-rich sequence, the FLAT element, in the insulin gene promoter. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell. The term DFNA7 is another synonym for LMX1. Indicated applications for LMX1 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
