Anti-GON-2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the GON-2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TRPM3 gene, which encodes transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily M member 3. This protein is known to function in the transport of ions, among other biological roles. The human version of GON-2 has a canonical amino acid length of 1732 residues and a protein mass of 197.6 kilodaltons, although 11 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in the kidney. GON-2 is a member of the Transient receptor (TC 1.A.4) protein family.
