Anti-GnT-4a antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the GnT-4a antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the MGAT4A gene, which encodes alpha-1,3-mannosyl-glycoprotein 4-beta-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase A. This protein is known to function in protein glycosylation, among other biological roles. The human version of GnT-4a has a canonical amino acid length of 535 residues and a protein mass of 61.5 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the Golgi and is secreted of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include GNT-IV, GNT-IVA, and GnT-4a. Indicated applications for GnT-4a antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
