Anti-BPP antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target BPP is a known alias name of the protein sushi repeat containing protein X-linked 2, encoded by the SRPX2 gene in humans. This 465-amino acid residue protein is known to act as a ligand for the urokinase plasminogen activator surface receptor. It is localized to the cytoplasm and is secreted of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in neurons of the rolandic area of the brain. Other synonyms for BPP include CBPS and PMGX.
