Anti-CSS1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CSS1 is a known alias name of the protein chondroitin sulfate synthase 1, encoded by the CHSY1 gene in humans. This 802-amino acid residue protein is known to have both beta-1,3-glucuronic acid and beta-1,4-N-acetylgalactosamine transferase activity. It is localized to the Golgi and is secreted of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is found to be widely expressed, with the highest levels in the placenta. Indicated applications for CSS1 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
