Anti-EM66 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target EM66 is a known alias name of the protein secretogranin II, encoded by the SCG2 gene in humans. This 617-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a neuroendocrine protein of the granin family that regulates the biogenesis of secretory granules. The protein is secreted and features O-glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the adrenal gland and colon. Other synonyms for EM66 include CHGC and SN.
