Anti-CMT2N antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CMT2N antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the AARS1 gene, which encodes alanyl-tRNA synthetase 1. This protein is known to function in the regulation of apoptosis, among other biological roles. The human version of CMT2N has a canonical amino acid length of 968 residues and a protein mass of 106.8 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include AARS and AARS.
