Anti-DSCRA antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the DSCRA antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the VPS26C gene, which encodes VPS26 endosomal protein sorting factor C. This protein is known to function in intracellular protein transport, among other biological roles. The human version of DSCRA has a canonical amino acid length of 297 residues and a protein mass of 33 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the endosome of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include DCRA and DSCR3.
