Anti-CAE antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CAE antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the GJA8 gene, which encodes gap junction protein alpha 8. This protein is known to function in cell to cell signaling and eye development, among other biological roles. The human version of CAE has a canonical amino acid length of 433 residues and a protein mass of 48.2 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in the eye. This target antigen may also be known as CAE1. Indicated applications for CAE antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
